Springfield Sniper Rifle
So does anyone know to much about this kind of gun? I'm thinking maybe building one, it's dead of buying one.
Edit: To me that means finding a M1903A4 rifle missing scope hopefully which would mean it would be a lot cheaper, and buying a M84 scope for somewhere.Last edited by Willtallica; November 11th, 2006 at 04:07 PM.

Re: Springfield Sniper Rifle
Your post is a bit confusing...you are thinking of buying a 1903 and making it a "sniper" rifle? The 1903s are getting harder to find...at least the ones in good condition. The prices are going through the roof on those rifles as well. Is there a reason you want a 1903 versus something more modern? Because if you want to get it to original form...it's going to cost you.
At first when I read your post...I thought you were asking about the Israeli M1A that SA was offering a few years ago from the IDF.

Re: Springfield Sniper Rifle
The M1903A4 is the sniper verison of the spring field, because it's modded with a rail for mounting the scope. I think finding one missing a scope would make it a lot cheaper, and then buying the scope, and mounting accesories seperately.

Re: Springfield Sniper Rifle
Why not buy something more modern? If you want an accurate WWII era rifle...go K31, M39, or Swede 96.

Re: Springfield Sniper Rifle
I'm into C&Rs from WWII, so it's purpose is more for collecting than shooting, but I'd still have to give it goes to feel that american firepower. Also snipers are my favorite type of soldier.
