will machiene guns be unfrozen
does anyone here think machiene gun manufacture and new weapon transfers will ever be unfrozen? This 1986 restriction Must have been made by a politician who wanted his/her nfa machiene guns to skyrocket if value... I can't believe the cost difference between semi auto and full auto variatons of a gun...

I doubt it ... at least not for a long time. I think any politician would have a hard time trying to push through a law that "opens" up FA firearms. I would think the opposite would happen before that.

Re: will machiene guns be unfrozen
not likely unless we really had a majority pro2a government in office.
The anti's would fight that to the death.
But think of the economy, people would be blowing through ammo like water!

Re: will machiene guns be unfrozen
The only way it could happen is if a pro gun congressman snuck a last minute add on into a farming bill right before the vote.........no one ever seems to notice those...........

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”

Re: will machiene guns be unfrozen
i don't think it is going to happen.
the US supreme court went waaaaayyyyyy out of its way during the oral arguments in the heller case to set themselves up to be able to declare the DC gun ban unconstitutional and rule that the 2nd amendment protects an individual right but still be able to uphold the machine gun ban.
so, relief is not going to come from the courts.
and i think the chance of congress repealing it are somewhere between 0% and 0%.

as long as there are pigs like rossie o'donnel and ted kennedy still alive, I see it as a next to nothing chance... I can't believe they want to make things worse on gun owners... and that one bitch that wanted "mr and mrs america to turn them all in" should be voted out of office... makesme sick just thinking about it...
