Paint
I have a question about paint for weapons, What type of paint should be used? I remember in the military we would use spray paint normally Sand and Olive Drab. Has anyone done this before? how about air brushing the design? Feed back would be great

Re: Paint
There is a company named Lauer (www.lauerweaponry.com) that has paint intended for firearms, I have not used it. Depending on what you are using it on, almost any paint can be applied to firearms, as long as the surface prep is done properly. I personnaly have used Krylon on the stock of my daughter's Marlin. (she wanted pink, she got pink) I have also heard of people using high temp BBQ paint on AKMs.

Re: Paint
It depends on the paint job you want.
A basic camo job, get a few spray bombs of flat colors that kinda match the terrain and use leaves as templates, spray dark over light to make a shadow effect.
If you want a higher end paint job, a wooden stock will have to be sealed with a polyester sealer. A composite stock will have to be primed. Than it can be based, airbrushed and clear coated with automotive paints.
Hope this helps...
