Oley is about as podunk as it get but yet even we have our crazys.
This originally came in as a QRS (Quick Responce Service) call for the fire co to assist the ambulance crew with an overdose. I laid in bed because I am about to go in for a 13 hour shift. Then my GF comes running up stairs to tell me Main st is evacuated and there is a gunman on the loose.

SO for everyone who thinks "It can't happen here" think a little harder.

For everyone who thinks what can't happen? I read both links you provided, sounds like a non-story to me.

I had a client who was arrested for threatening the President with a grapefruit spoon. Mental illness happens all over.

Uh, emotionally disturbed man, possibly on drugs, waving a shotgun around on Main St. in a small town. That happen every day?

That doesn't happen much even in Philly.

I reread both stories and didn't find anything about him "waving" it around or being on drugs, you don't work for the msm do you, lol.

True. At least as regards the first story, it's entirely possible that the guy was headed out on a bird hunting trip or something and just walked out to put his shotgun in his trunk and some friend or neighbor freaked out and called the cops on him. The story gets whipped up in the paper and next thing you know it's an overdose call on a guy with a shotgun whom "police believe might have had a bomb" on Main St. (lions and tigers and bears . . .).

I made that fatal mistake -- lack of critical thinking when reading any newspaper story.
