Default I think I goofed. AR muzzle break install

    S! ALL

I removed the birdcage that came stock on my Bushmaster and installed an Izzy but I didn't notice the new lockwasher til I installed the new one over the original crush washer. I can't get it back off..think it will be o.k. without using the supplied lockwasher? I'm hoping since it is on so tight it will be fine-yes?

If it's tight and lined up the way you want it you should be fine. If it comes loose after shooting a while you can then take it off and install the new washers.

A new crush washer should be used with each new muzzle device......

That being said, it takes about 30lb of force to crush those and if you had to wrench the brake on, it's not coming off.

I hand tighten mine, turn maybe 1/8 turn with a wrench and use some blue loctite and they never come loose.

Sweet! Alittle nervous about screwing up my new AR over a muzzle break. Thanks for taking time to post.

No big deal. The only problem with a really tight muzzle device is that they can change point of aim and/or open up the groups a bit. On a short range/duty gun you'll likely never notice.
