    SALTSBURG, Pa. —

The owner of an Indiana County gun shop was killed Tuesday afternoon in a shooting at his store.

The victim has been identified as Frank Petro, the owner of Frank’s Gun & Taxidermy Shop on Hogue Drive in Tunnelton.

Sources said a second person -- believed to be the suspected shooter -- was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

    Police have not yet commented.

I hope he wasn't a member here. If anyone local knows, please let us know.

Updated article says the owner was dead and another unidentified person injured. It does not indicate what the circumstances were, cannot determine if there was any "bad guy" or if it was an accident.

Very sad either way. Prayers go out to the family.

    From the Trib:
A man was fatally shot and another was wounded Tuesday afternoon at Frank's Gun & Taxidermy Shop near Tunnelton, according to the Indiana County district attorney.
District Attorney Patrick Dougherty did not release the name of the man who was killed, pending notification of next of kin.
The wounded man was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital, Dougherty said.
He declined to release further details, saying it's “early in an ongoing investigation.”
Coroner Jerry Overman and state police were on the scene but released no details on the shootings, which occurred around 2 p.m., according to 911 dispatchers.
The family-operated shop, located at 59 Hogue Drive, is owned by Frank S. Petro and has been in business for more than 30 years.
State police towed a GMC Yukon from the property, about 1/4 mile from the Tunnelton Bridge, just across the Conemaugh River from Westmoreland County.

New Year's Eve will never be the same again for at least two families, so condolences, thoughts, and prayers going out to all concerned at this point.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
