Would you shoot if... ?

I don't think this is a far-fetched situation combining 2 recent events that happened (as posted on this forum).

One was about BerksCountyDave refrained from shooting 2 thieves who stole his pool cues even though he had a good shot: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed...ght-thing.html

The other was about losing your LTCF if your firearms are stolen from your vehicle: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed...tate-laws.html (#3 on that original posting).

Here's the deal, because of the fact that I could lose my LTCF if my guns are stolen from the vehicle, now when I stop somewhere before or after going to the range, I take my range bag with me, which usually has a couple of pistols in it. I also have my CCW on me. What if some idiot ran by and grab the bag from me and run away? If I had a clear shot when chasing the guy, should I take it? Would you rather deal with the mess of shooting someone in the back or putting 2 of your guns on the street?

As for the OP's question, its not a clean shoot you'll be in jail. Cars have locks, and windows for a reason!

back on topic. it would be a bad shoot. there is no threat threat of great bodily harm or death as the ner-do-well runs away with your goods.

You can’t shoot someone in the back as he is running away with whatever he has taken from you or driving away with your car. I don’t care what kind of shot you have. WTF are some people thinking. Loosing your LTCF will be the smallest problem you are going to have!
