OK, I made this suggestion a long time ago and nobody went for the idea.

I'll suggest it again and perhaps this time someone can tell my why it is a bad idea...

I think we should organize a PUBLIC weekend event for those who OC/CC.

No arguing about which is better. Hell I've had enough of that argument to last a lifetime!

I ride a Harley (have since 1983). Every summer I attend events wherever they are. Yes, there are probably some laws broken over the course of the event. Yet the LEO's let it go. The influx of money into the community is more important than arresting some fool for burning 10,000 miles off his rear tire.

Why can not we have such an event? 48 hours. Lots of food vendors making money. Lots of small gunshops selling their wares.

Lots of laughs for everyone.

So is this a bad idea because someone might lose their cool and actually pull their pistol?

Why is this not a good idea? Huh? Tell me. Huh?

Not to be a douche...... but isnt that called a gunshow? or did you mean something else?

There have been get togethers all over the state, PAFOAers meeting each other for food and or shooting and the like. They have been informal and not officially endorsed by the PAFOA, just gatherings of members with their friends and family.

To echo spabula what you are proposing does sound a lot like a gun show and as such you start to run into insurance & liability issues, probably why the PAFOA hasn't held such an event.
