Rock River Two-Stage Trigger
I just got a call from my brother who is at Camp Perry for the CMP portion of the National Matches. His Essential Arms lower with a Jewell trigger passed the weight test just fine while his rifle with a Rock River trigger failed. He was about to tear it down and bend the spring when the weigh master advised him to get over to vender row and to the Rock River area. He took the advice and found a RR tech changing out hammers. Seems RR must have had a run of poorly heat-treated hammers. He said there was a “pile” of hammers, some springs and one trigger in the cast-off pile and the tech fitted a new hammer to his rifle - no charge. He’s thinking about buying another Jewell! Shame is that I put together about ten rifles using a batch of RR triggers bought at the same time. To be fair that trigger out-lasted two barrels.
FWIW

Re: Rock River Two-Stage Trigger
I have three Jewells. Too bad they cost twice as much as the RRA......and I wager RRA will make it right, anyhow.
