Default Anyone making wooden bullets these days?

So, I've been watching a show about vampires, and the subject came up about wooden bullets. On a whim I googled it, thinking I might find some steampunk stuff.

Seems it is a real thing. Used in war. In rifles.

So now I'm half wondering if I can get some.

I know silver bullets are out there, in case of attack by werewolves. Silver hurts, but does not kill vampires.
Iron for fey & witches, demons & Devils. Again, not vampires.

So,'are there a any companies selling functional wooden bullets? I think it would be a hell of a conversation starter.

The Swedes used to have wooden training rounds for their 6.5 Mauser. There was a muzzle device that would splinter them as they passed trough it. Samco used to have them before they got shut down.

I thought about getting a battle pack in case of a vampire attack.

I only know what I have read, but the rumors of wooden bullets being used to inflict extra pain or create infections is supposedly not true. Supposedly they were used for short range target practice and others were used as a variety of blank with a muzzle device as mentioned above.

In before the topic of conversation turns to what Streaker makes out of wood.

Yea. The link goes into some soldiers experiences & believes in WWII. Obviously most guys never got to have hot chocolate with the enemy to get all the facts.

It might be harder to operate on such because it doesn't show up on a metal detector, but then, that is true of a lot of ammo. I figured it was a cost saving measure.

UMMMM. Not sure wooden bullets would help. The idea of a wooden stake through the heart was to literally nail the undead to his coffin or to the ground so he could not rise. Of course the best bet is to expose them to sunlight.
