Default Price gouging of ammo on gunbroker

I paid $20 some dollars for this box of ammo at Walmarts a few weeks ago and look at how much it's going for, 4 bids and currently at $57!

Or this one, $100 for 100 rounds of 380 ACP?!? That's a $1 per round!

I've always said I wish I bought a Cuda or some other rare muscle car when they were brand new in the 70s for couple thousand dollars, I'd be a millionaire right now, well I wish I bought a semi load of ammo last year, I'd be rich right now!

You are looking at one of the many reasons that we are unable to get the ammo we want now. Gunbroker has turned into ebay. In that I mean people will now buy stuff on there used for more than they could get it new.

Good for them. If anyone is stupid enough to pay those prices, they deserve it. P.T. Barnum economics at its best.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

Speaking of ebay, I recently saw a used galco shoulder harness go for $30 bucks over retail! I was kind of hoping to catch that one, but once it got within 20 bucks of retail.....well I decided that the other guys could keep wasting their money.

The one board I was on had a thread "cant miss ebay deals". For that board it was a pretty epic thread. People would post up stuff that people were paying an arm and leg above cost on ebay. Gunbroker is getting the same way. It is a fade.

Not surprising at all. I've always found gunbroker to be on the high side for most pricing. Almost any gun I've looked at, unless it was extremely difficult to find, I can get a better price locally.

It's not just gunbroker.........check out the classifieds section here on almost any given day and you'll see plenty of outrageous price requests.......same with AR15.com. People are out to make a buck as quickly as they can. I say more power to them, someone will be dumb enough to pay, just wont be me. I keep a list of names that post stuff like that so that when I have something for sale I can give them the same treatment.

Gun owners are just like any other owners. I'm trying to sell some high end scuba equipment. Everyone thinks if they don't own it, it is way over-priced. If they own it, it's pristine and worth twice the market.

Don't buy it and let them eat it. Some will always find suckers to pay their price.
