Default Big run on " Assult Rifles" !!

I was just on Centerfire Systems site and they show out of stock on almost every Ak and Ar. I expected a run but I figured Century and others would have stocked up before the election with the empending doom and all. At least the election is helping the economy, thousands of rifles and pistols sold not to exclude the ammo sales. All that should fix the houseing market. !

About two weeks before the election, I was talking the owner of the local gun shop and he said sales were better than he has ever seen... I wonder what his store looked like the day after the election.

I went into Shyda's this past week to pick up a rifle I had shipped there. While I was waiting I looked over to where they store all of the ARs and they have 3 left........ Normally they have a full rack

This is all based on kneejerk panic from consumers. I'm glad I am not in need, nor feeling the rush to go out and simply buy something just out of the notion that it "might" soon be banned. Oh I'm sure Osama will try some shady crap with regards to assault rifles, but I'm also sure that whatever he tries won't equal the hurried need for all these people to run out and buy weapons as they are. If anything I am going to stock up on some more ammo, but as far as more rifles, nahh, I fell for that the last time. I can sit back and kinda laugh at people now for falling for it again.

The attitude I see around here and in the southern tier of NY is "Gee I better get a semi rifle or pistol while I still can!" NY still has the AWB thanks to Hillie and Chucky. They are buying neutered rifles and 10 rd mags up.

My guess would be empty. I managed to grab a lower just before the prices spiked and managed to get one of Bravo Co's last LMT uppers. Once I am done with this build I am not going to be buying anything more till the market settles. Fortunately I still have a handfull of Mags from the last AR I owned so I'm just going to be grabbing ammo whenever I see it at a decent price and saving up to get to the valley forge gun show early on the day it opens.

At the shop where I part time when I'm not doing my real job, we were selling probably 5-8 a week the last time I was there (October). I recently got an email telling me they are selling 6-8 A DAY. My limited mathematical capability tells me that this is 36-48 rifles a week (closed Sundays). They are also selling almost every stripped and assembled lower they can get.

Mags and ammo appear to be backordered at all of my usual internet sources.

I don't think that there is any immediate danger of a ban, but I've been wrong a lot in life.
