I hope this link worked, My computer fu is weak as of late. But this is why I wish we could carry on the job, even though I'm not sure I would all the time, and it would not have helped in this situation, but still you never know.

God I hope they caught the guys doing that. I never thought that an ems' job was so dangerous. Hopefully everyone is alright. I think I heard one person say they were shot. They are going to have to start having a police escort to hopefully deter this kind of violence.

Re: Ambulance crew caught in drive-by shooting.
Christ almighty ... these assholes must have some set of balls to chase down an ambulance like that and open fire! Do we need to start mounting 50 cals on them in certain areas (come to think of it that might not be a bad idea)
These are the kind of punks I have been screaming about for years now, they have no fear of anyone .... THEY think they own their cities and will try to take down anyone if they get in their way ... THESE are the exact lowlifes that need to be obliterated from the Earth.
Next time some asshole tells me there is no need to carry a weapon I'm gonna sit them down and show them all the videos like this UNTIL THEIR EYES BLEED, then when they are sobbing uncontrollably I ask them what their thoughts on carrying are now (call it a little Clockwork Orange conditioning)

Re: Ambulance crew caught in drive-by shooting.
Do you think it is a coincidence that:
1. Violent crime is most prevalent in urban areas.
2. Democrats are prevalently in control in urban areas.
3. Democrats are Liberals.
4. Liberals are soft on crime and freespenders on recipients of entitlements.
5. Recipients of entitlements are primarily in urban areas.
6. Recipients of entitlements comprise the majority of perpetrators of violent crime.
7. Recipients of entitlements consistently vote for Liberals to continue the trend of #4, above.

Hey not a bad idea, maybee then people will move over or yeild for a ambulance becouse, thay sure as hell don't pay any attention to the lights and sirens!!!!!! And that goes for fire trucks to. If I had a dollar for every time I almost got hit or had some jack ### not pull over going to a fire call I would be able to buy a new glock by now. I guess the big red fire truck with all the flashy lights and sirens are not sign enough. OK I am done with my rant now.........Joe

Couldn't determine where this occurred based on the video clip.

EMS is far from a "dangerous" job if you have a good head on your shoulders and maintain situational awareness though it's not as safe as your typical office job. This shooting happened in East St. Louis.

Here is a follow up story. oh and I hate those damn drive cams but they do have their benefit at times!
