For it being polymer it would be no worse if not better than a drum. The down side is it will only fit 45 rounds.

A decent in-between from the standard 30 and a drum mag. Hope they do well I may get a few.

You guys are all aware you can get a 40rd magazine for an AK right now for maybe $20?

5 more rounds for how much $? It's still as long as a 30rd magazine. If it were 45 in the same space as a 20rd magazine give or take I'd say OK. But these are going to be $100!

I see absolutely zero usefulness to this. You can get 75rd drums for less.

    Epic fail.

Who seriously signed off on this? 50, maybe 55rds in a space of a 30rd magazine. OK. For $100? Nah. I can get 75rds in my popcorn shaker drum for less. Why, oh why would I buy that?

Everything about that magazine sounds bad.. I'd rather just spend $20 less for 30 more rounds in a less awkward looking drum shape.

I was excited when I first saw it b/c I thought it was a 60 rounder. When I actually read that it only held 45 it was a downer.

Yes, I am well aware they make 40 round magazines. I think I just got too excited and had to get it out before I wet myself. If anything I can hope this leads to a 60 round 5.45. I'm not a big fan of drums. Even though I've never stress tested one, just seems like a lot of moving parts.

I bet they'll sell a ton of'em. Just not to this guy. The US Palm AK30 mags are supposed to be of really good qaulity. I dont own any but have ran them before on a couple other guys rifles. They were flawless.

The positive I see about these new 45 rounders is that they look to be the same length as the 30's. I've always been turned off of the 40's because of their length.

Not sure I'll get any of these new mags but I wish them well. They seem to be doing big things for the AK platform
and to the dust you shall return

Less than 20 the last time I bought some. Bulgarian polymer "bullet" mags. Just didnt like how big they were, got in the way when prone for me. Traded them for ammo. The guy who got them put them on a yugo under folder then couldn't swing the stock without removing the mag. He was disappointed.
If I could get a deal on one of these Id get one just for the novelty of it.

Another issue (Beyond the ridiculous price) I would have with these is the reliability. Haven't those 60 round Surefire AR mags been unreliable? If these mags work the same way wouldn't the reliability issues carry over?
Sanity, yours if you can keep it.....
