Re: Pgh. Convention Center
No problem concealing concealing, as there are no metal detectors, etc...
Now, for a related question...
Who actually owns the convention center:
http://www.pittsburghcc.com/cc/AboutUs/Default.aspx
The Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (SEA) owns the David L. Lawrence Convention Center as well as Heinz Field, PNC Park, the Mellon Arena, the North Shore Riverfront Park and the North Shore Parking Garage. The SEA partners with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, and VisitPittsburgh to make Pittsburgh a premier destination.
The SEA was incorporated on February 3, 1954 as the Public Auditorium Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The name was changed in November 1999 to the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (SEA).
In July of 1998, the SEA began working with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the City of Pittsburgh, and Allegheny County to implement the Regional Destination Financing Plan (RDFP). The goal of the Plan was to make Pittsburgh a premier destination for people across the country and around the world.
The Plan supported the construction of PNC Park, Heinz Field, and the expansion of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, as well as the infrastructure improvements associated with these projects. The RDFP's combined cost exceeds $1 billion with monies coming from hotel tax and sales tax revenues, Steeler ticket surcharges, parking revenues, State appropriations, federal funds, corporate funds, foundation money, and team contributions. No City or County funds were used to pay for these projects.
SEA owned facilities include:
* Mellon Arena
* PNC Park
* Heinz Field
* David L. Lawrence Convention Center
* North Shore Riverfront Park
* North Shore Parking Garage
The SEA also provides administrative and other staff support to the Stadium Authority of the City of Pittsburgh.
It seems to me that the city of Pittsburgh owns this, at least from what I can tell......Last edited by mjf; August 22nd, 2008 at 08:44 PM.

Re: Pgh. Convention Center
I carry there when going to the Home Show, Dog Show, and the Pet Expo.
No detectors. No signs that I noted. (Not that I looked for them)
