    Default PAFOA Redesign goes live.

As you may notice, PAFOA has a new look, this was done for a few reasons:

The redesign was caused by three things

    1. The old design was very "heavy" bandwidth wise with lots of HTML and images necessary for the complex styling. Our bandwidth bill last month was $352 ($102 in overages). The new design reduces the average page weight by almost half. It should cut our bandwidth transfer significantly.
    2. PAFOA for a while has been just the forum and the main website. That is changing. This design plans for and incorporates that growth where the other one did not.
    3. More properly integrating the advertising we now run.

And when all is said and done, change is good every once in a while, it keeps things interesting.

    Thoughts and critiques are welcome!

    I think it looks fine.

This needs updating to reflect the new price:

Looks cleaner and brighter. I had to put on my sunglasses when I first opened it. Good job. Keep it up. You haven't done anything buy make the sight better as far as I can see.

    I agree.

Looks cleaner & not as busy.

I like the softer background color(shades)......it is more relaxing on the eyes.

And the new font style/size for the PAFOA logo seems more official or......uh........tactical?

And just a reminder to everyone.......The PAFOA bills don't pay themselves:

    Uh-Oh.

I just tried to quote/reply in a different post.......and the 'quote' functions seems to import a lot more code/instruction than it did before (font size/colors/etc.....)

Did it always do that? Looks confusing......especially since I like to pare quotes down to leave just the important piece I'm talking about.

Just bringing it up for a look-see.

When "Googlers" get our forum pages as results to searches, they see PAFOA at the top of the page...

Perhaps run the full text under the initials, so it's more easily identified/remembered. (The small text in the logo is not easily readable in my monitor)

This isn't a complaint - just pointin' it out. What code logic determines 'like threads'? Right now, it looks like just a 'spin of the wheel'!

Look closely, all the mentioned threads have the word "live" that's what makes them similar.
