Do we need stricter laws or do we need more laws, or do we need to parent better? Your thoughts.

14 yr old kid shoots 13 yr old girl dead with dad's gun that he found unsecured in the house.
There was mention the kid wanted to kill himself, don't know if that was before or after the murder/shooting.
The kid/s tried to cover it up and say it was a drive by.
What do you think about the boys father denying cops access to the house? I think the cops have every right to gain access,
to the crime scene.

The girl's father's reaction is heartbreaking.

I taught my kid's at a very young age about gun safety and messing around with them, to the point I could have left a loaded ak,
in the middle of the floor and they would just walk around it.

When the kid was cuffed and stuffed, he told somebody (maybe his mom?) that "I'm not scared, they have nothing on me." Uh, yeah, they do. Like 3 eye witnesses, the gun, etc.
