Default Looking to buy 1000 rounds of FMJ .45

Going to be picking up a new .45 in a few days. Kahr P45. I want to break it in with a thousand rounds of 230 gr FMJs. WalMart has the 100 round WWB for 29 bucks which puts my price for a thousand around 300. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get a better price for that bulk quantity. Online or in store. I really dont know where else I can look. I know the gunshow is in York this weekend but I dont think the ammo prices were that good last time I was there.

Just placed an order for .308 from ammunitiontogo.com/ and was very happy with the prices, shipping costs, and timeliness of delivery. Might want to check there.

edit: looks like their best price is +/- 294 try ammoman.com too.

I would check stubby gear in york. Last I was in there he was knocking like 10 bucks off per case so long as you bought at least a 1000 rds. Gets ammo in every friday, so long as you order by wed/thus.

I would immediately begin budgeting for a reloading setup. Buying ammo at these prices is going to get old fast, very fast!!!

imo walmart is probably the cheapest retail store to buy ammo at. just looking online you may find it cheaper but then you have to factor in shipping costs. i think 300/1000 is about the average and cheapest you'll find for decent FMJ ammo.

yeah, not going to get much better than .30/round for brass FMJ.

if you want some cheap aluminum cased ammo then go here:

Personally I cant stand Wally's WWB , it leaves little bits of sand like metal bits everywhere.

Dick's has Remmington on sale for 149/500
I think they have some ultramax RLN cheapper too

Good choice on the Kahr P45 (I miss mine!)
At the last Harrisburg Show there were two vendors selling American Eagle for $285 out the door. You will be very hard pressed to beat that price for brass cased .45acp.

Sportsman's Guide has Wolf .45 Auto 230gr FMJ ammo for $264.97/1000.

Widener's has South African .45 Auto 220gr FMJ ammo for $279/1000. (reloadable brass)

J&G has Wolf .45 Auto 230gr FMJ ammo for $129/500. ($258/1000 looks like the best I can find!)

Dicks usually has an ammo sale every other week at least. Its not the cheapest but there are a few things to combat that.

A box of .45 rounds are $16 (on sale)

I have a printable coupon for $10 off a purchase of $25 or more.

So buy 2 boxes ($32 + tax) and use the coupon.

    That's $22 + tax for 100 rounds.

    Repeat 10 times!

Even better is buy $250 in giftcards at a GetGo and save $0.50 a gallon on gas.

If you want the coupon PM me ill send it to you.

Edit: The ammo is Remington UMC btw
Edit2: I was the 1000th post in the Ammo section Woot Woot
