Are pistol grip shotguns legal in PA?
Specifically ones without a shoulder fire provision. Also assuming an 18" barrel. Thanks in advance....

Re: Are pistol grip shotguns legal in PA?
Yes they are but IIRC the OAL must be at least 26 inches.

Re: Are pistol grip shotguns legal in PA?
When I bought my Mossberg Persuader (I think they're called Cruisers now), there was a pistol grip in the box with the shotgun.
They look cool with a pistol grip and I do have a pistol grip on mine. They're a bear to shoot with a standard pistol grip though!
The pistol grip I have on mine is from Knoxx Industries. It's called the COP stock and can be viewed here: http://www.knoxx.com/NewStyleKnoxx/T...rt/COPtech.htm
These do work quite well, BTW...

PG are nice on SBS, but on a regular SG...they are tough to control...too many Hollywood/tacticool types that like that sort of thing...I suggest a round or two before you go out and buy one...I'm pretty sure you will change your mind.

Re: Are pistol grip shotguns legal in PA?
Thanks, Everyone!
I recently picked up a few accessories for my 28" Winchester turkey gun. I wanted to be able to adapt it for home defense the remainder of the year. I just didn't want to bring it back and violate any laws. Thanks Again,
Frank

Re: Are pistol grip shotguns legal in PA?
The pistol grips are legal and 26" AOL apply: but according to the PSP firearms people you must buy the 18" bbl. In Pa you cannnot cut a shotgun bbl shorter than 24".I found this out by accident when I questioned cutting a bbl down awhile back to make a 20" turkey gun..When I questioned what difference it made as long as the OAL requirements were met,I got very little reply. If you cut one less than 24" in Pa they classify it a "Probiitied Offencive Weapon" ??? Go figure? Unless the laws have been changed, this is what I run upagainst. --Rat--
