Default How do you get out scratches?

Hi all, Just wondering how do you get out minr scratches out of Automobile paint? Do i need to buy one of those roatary electric polishers? and scratch removal paste or can i do it by hand.

I accidentally scratched my brand new truck when i rubbed against it in the garage with the snaps from my suspenders, didnt know they were that sharp.

The scratches are not deep so i dont think it needs to be repainted it didnt go down to the metal .

    Thanks for any info.

Get some rubbing compound and use it just like when waxing your car. Do not press hard, go over the area of the scratches and then take it off with a soft cloth. Check to see if the scratches are gone. If not, repeat. When they are gone make sure all the compound is off and then wax as normal. Unless the scratches are very deep you probably only scratched the clear coat (top coat).
