seriously, with a media that talks to the public like they're children (or idiots) when I heard how moronic this story was when it first broke and was masqueraded all over TV, i felt insulted as a viewer....

And whattaya know, now they admit it after the hype has died down. I dont particularly like Palin (personally i think shes lazy), but this kind of character assassination is over the top.

The MSM will air anything negative without vetting when it comes to a Conservative, clearly shown this election season. A McCain affair story with ZERO evidence but held Edwards stories with full and clear evidence.
Anyone who feels the media does not manipulate the electorate for it's liberal cohorts are living on another planet.

While I agree that the hoax was the "source" I fel that this calls into question who the ananonymous source to Fox was. I hold anything that someone says from the veil of secrecy with much skepticism.

In this case I don't think it's shame that is keeping them from putting their name to it. I think in this instance we are seeing someone who is trying to put out a lie without facing the music.

That isn't what it says. This particular source is a hoax, the story and the Fox news' source has not been debunked. I'm sure it was just a slip of the tongue on Palin's part, but the story has not been debunked.

I would agree that if it did happen it was a slip like the 57 states was a simple slip, but I am not convinced that this ever actually happened that she said it.
