SGL Range #300 Archbald - Some Questions
I may be taking my wife and young children to check out this range during the summer. Does the range have any sort of bathroom facilities? If not, is there a reasonably close fast food joint or store we could run to that has available rest rooms? Im not sure my kids would be able to wait it out for an extended period of time.
Also, I noticed on the SGL range website that the 200-yard points are closed for renovations. Has an ETA for completion been posted or announced?
Thanks.

Nearest 'civilization' is about 8 miles on PA315. Plenty of woods. Not sure about facilities otherwise.
EDIT -- wrong range, this is for the one in SGL 91.Last edited by gghbi; June 11th, 2019 at 10:44 AM.

Hmmm, don't think I've seen one recently...
Restaurants and the like, about 10 minutes in either direction off the Casey Highway: Carbondale to the right, take the "Childs" exit to the light, hang a right, Carbondale McD's on right about a mile up, BK on left lust beyond. Dunmore to the left, take Casey to 81-n, get off at Dunmore Exit, all of the usual suspects there!"...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."

Re: SGL Range #300 Archbald - Some Questions
I highly doubt steel targets are permissible. Paper on the official target holders only. No clay pigeons on the dirt backstops, either. You do what you want, their restrictive rules are all BS if you ask me, but it's a $180 or $200 fine if they catch you. And they usually don't give warnings.
"(b) Prohibited acts. At a rifle and handgun range located on land under Commission ownership, lease or jurisdiction, except when authorized by the appropriate regional director or a designee, it is unlawful to:
(2) Discharge a firearm at any target other than a paper target placed on a permanent target backboard mounted by the Commission. Users are prohibited from intentionally shooting at or damaging the frames or stands constructed by the Commission to mount permanent target backboards."
