Nothing that fancy. Video is available on YouTube. You lose semi-auto function and it's either on "safe" or "Giggle"

    Safe or giggle....lol.

But in all seriousness, is this drop in wall hanger safe? Because I know the trigger groups the army put in to make their M4s full auto behave a pesky habit of going *bang* when the selector switch is moved from safe to anything else, without a trigger pull.

The dias works no different than a semi auto trigger.
Where it differentiates is in the trigger reset.
The dias device blocks the trigger from latching back by pushing the dias up while the trigger is held in, blocking trigger/sear engagement. When trigger is released, trigger bar drops, dropping the dias as well, which allows the hammer to reset in its cocked and locked position.

The dias essentially forces the hammer to "ride the bolt." Until trigger is released.

No it doesnt cause hammer follow. The sear will catch the hammer when the bolt closes it releases the sear letting the hammer go forward.

That makes better sense, thanks. Riding the bolt could easily cause a round to discharge before the bolt is fully engaged, which may cause significant injury. I would imagine it*s not hard to time these DIAS as you do a MG, with different thickness rods to avoid that danger.

Only works with a semi auto bolt carrier. Not alot of those around anymore.
