Default Just over the state line - Burglar Shot...

...and a man waiting in the get-away-car got blocked in by a bus so he ran and was apprehended shortly after.

After the shooting the police asked the homeowner for permission to search the house. The homeowner denied access so the police went after a warrant. I guess I'm not sure what they would be looking for. Why would they need to search the home and what gives them the right to do so?

I was confused by the title at first... until I read the story at the link. I think you meant burglar, haha!

If I'm reading it correctly, the burglar was shot inside the home -- which would make it the crime scene of a homicide (which may or may not be ruled "justified"). Since the two "were acquainted," there could be more to this.

The story was apparently updated on the same page I posted. Much more information is included at this time than there was when I posted. The original story made it sound as though the dead guy was shot outside on the porch after attempting to gain access to the house and made no mention of the three guys knowing each other.
