I WILL O/C TONIGHT
I will be attending the Erie O/C dinner tonight.
My clothes will be different tonight for my O/C experience. I always C/C and wear clothes which enables me to do that.
I will be leaving early because of the weather and I need to go to the mall. I've never been to the Millcreek mall. My extent of shopping in Erie has consisted of Gander, Erie Sports and Lowes. Of course I will be wearing a coat/jacket which will probably cover the two firearms I will be carrying, but of course that might not be the case.
I will be going to Petsmart for frisbees (dog goes through 2 a day), then its off to the mall. Then to the dinner providing I don't get arrested.
I will take particular notice of any firearm signs as I enter the mall. I might have to zip up. I know Erie County is pretty relaxed when it comes to firearms, but at a shopping mecca it might be a little different. Hopefully I won't scare the women shoppers at the mall. The last place I want a scene is in a mall. I'm not a mall person, so this will be a completely new experience for me on both ends.
I will report on my experience much later tonight when I get back from the dinner

You shouldn't have any troubles at all. Mall security is hardly a threat to lilttle old lady, it's the Millcreek PD you need to watch out for...just confromt them, you're doing nothing wrong.

Re: I WILL O/C TONIGHT
I wouldn't worry about it Michele. If someone says anything to you just whip out that accent and say
Listen; I walk the walk and talk the talk.
Now, in all seriousness I wouldn't expect any trouble. People just don't seem to care or notice law abiding citizens OCing. Go to the dinner, have fun, and don't worry. Just walk out there with the confidence that you are exercising rights all but lost in your home state.
ETA: the "Little Old Lady" comment likely comes from the fact that you are now a Grand member, or "Granny" as I like to say.
[Serious] Also, in the Lakota traditions the term "grandmother" and "grandfather" refer to anyone older than you and is an honor. To be referred to by that title means you have earned a lot of respect and it's not something I take lightly. [/serious]Last edited by Atomic Dog; January 3rd, 2008 at 10:03 AM.

Re: I WILL O/C TONIGHT
I wasn't refering to you as a little old lady.
Some of the Mall security is on work release from the retirement home.
There is nothing at the mall written anywhere or otherwise prohibitting friearms.
With that said I'm sure by the time the night is over some tight wad in Millcreek will have their panties in a bunch if everything goes well at Max & Erma's. More than likely it's going to be completely mute, just another snow filled night in Erie...Drive careful.

I admire your confidence, courage and bravery, Michele. I'm sure it will go smoothly and be uneventful. If not, give me a call and I will bail you out of jail. Hehehuh?
