Re: AR15 mag loaders
I have the Lula loader. Its pretty good. The Maglula Bench loader is faster and not that large. I haven't checked but I believe they have one for the 5.56. They have Lula loader for the 5.56 and the .223 too.

Have both. They don't like lancers or magpuls. Got a pump and the auto butler creek psa was selling for 2 bills free shipping. Auto works but slow and has built in jam fixing so that ought to tell you something. It is mostly labor free. Pump didn't get to yet.

Strippers and spoon adapter work great.

Re: AR15 mag loaders
I have a Maglula for pistol rounds and love it, but I find PMAGs easy enough to load by hand that I don't foresee getting one for .223/5.56.

Re: AR15 mag loaders
I use the Lula lever loaders for my pistol mags. I got my daughter one for her Sig 716 mags. I use charger guides (Both box and spoon type) and charger clips for my rifles. Both are cheap and effective. A lot of my ammo came already packed on clips anyway. What wasn't, I've clipped and bandoleered most of it while binge watching movies. All of my self-loading rifles (except the .22s) have magazines that use chargers. The final tipping decision factor of the FN SCAR over the Sig 716 Patrol was the fact that the SCAR magazines took the same charger guides as my FALs.

Re: AR15 mag loaders
It seems that with those 'bulk-one shot' loaders you spend as much time putting the rounds in the loader as you would putting them in the magazine. Just for the 'convenience' of the 'one-shot' push to then put the rounds in the magazine. Now if you have issues like arthritis in your hands or similar, I can see it.
