Had a talk with an anti gun hunter
I stopped for a beverage at a local club I belong to not a sportsmen or gun club but a bar type club. Anyway a fellow and his wife who I could call friends were talking with me about hunting which he does a lot of. I hunt also but I don't much anymore. He said he doesn't believe in the ownership or use of any firearm you can't hunt with. And has none at the ready in the home. After I got over the shock I asked what would you do if a drug crazed felon broke in your house at night both of them said the dog will get them. They have a collie puppy not even 4 months old!. He said he will handle it the old fashioned way with his fists. I thought this guy had some sense and was a redneck sort of person, boy was I wrong. What do you think?
I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six!

Re: Had a talk with an anti gun hunter
The first thing that popped into my head was, "You can't fix stupid." Then I thought about, "Here's your sign." But I'll end with... "If you think you can handle a drug crazed felon with your bare hands, you might be a redneck."
Send him to this website. Perhaps he'll see the error of his thinking.

I say to each their own. His decision doesn't affect me. Just like my decision to not go to the doctor doesn't affect him. My house is protected by a .44 with 6 rounds and an AK with 30 rounds of soft points. I know I am relatively safe.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Had a talk with an anti gun hunter
From my experiences most hunters are Fudd's and I don't really listen to what they have to say. They are only a step above the Liberal's in my opinion.

Re: Had a talk with an anti gun hunter
Which you bring up another interesting idea that you may not have thought of. A guy like this is probably one that would also like the Lost & Stolen law to be passed. So when they do come asking for your gun, and you say "What guns" the point to the RoS database and state you have a gun "registered" to your address, and if you're not in possession of it right now, then it's lost or stolen and you failed to report it. Assume the position.
Anti-Gun gun people are very dangerous.Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
