"New Jersey Legislature Votes for Gun Rationing Bill

    One-Gun-A-Month Heads to Governor’s Desk

In the wee hours of Friday morning, June 26, Governor Corzine and his anti-gun cohorts in the New Jersey State Senate vote 21 to 15 to pass S1774, a bill that will arbitrarily ration the sale of handguns to one per month."

Simply amazing. Zero logic at all. Piss on your rights.. what about the children? No wonder people snap.

I talked with a guy I work with who lives in NJ about this (against my better judgement, but sometimes I get goaded into it). He had the typical response of "well, I don't see why anyone would need more than one gun a month."

I told him he shouldn't care if someone buys a thousand guns a month. It's what they do with those guns that matters. The hyperbole no doubt wasn't the smartest move, but I'm pretty worn out from years of arguing, and am done holding people's hands and attempting to educate them in basic areas that a reasonable citizen would be ashamed regarding their ignorance. I just occasionally get irritated enough to make a statement on behalf of sanity.

Of course, he looked at me like I had three eyes, which I expected. Some people are just locked in. I spent years trying to persuade, but have largely consigned that tack to the door marked "useless."

The lines are drawn, and sides have been taken by most I think. Let's just be glad, from a self-defense standpoint, that we live in PA, and stay vigilant in keeping the nanny mindset across the border.

It's time for thinking Americans to just cede the state to the criminals, political and otherwise, and move back to the USA.

That's when you say "I don't see why someone needs more than one channel on their TV. I don't see why someone needs to sleep with more than one person in their lifetime. I don't see why someone needs more than one good suit. I don't see why someone needs a car with air conditioning, when you can open your windows instead. I don't see why anyone needs stainless steel appliances. I don't see why anyone needs a residence bigger than 300 square feet. I don't see why a person needs to earn more than 35k per year. Don't you agree, or do you think it's nobody's business what a person does or where they spend their money so long as they aren't doing anything illegal?"

Agreed. I personally don't see why any unmarried person needs to have a child, or why any couple needs more than the 2 children needed to replace themselves. Maybe we should make it illegal. I don't see anything in the Constitution that prohibits reasonable restrictions on breeding.

Unwanted, surplus or neglected children, kids who grow up without on-scene fathers, cause far more trouble than gun collectors. Couples with 5 children are being subsidized by their neighbors, who have to cover the extra costs for schools, tax breaks, child services, and probably police.

When gun collectors ask their neighbors to chip in to indulge their hobbies, then the neighbors get a say in what they can buy. Until then, it would probably be wise not to harass the heavily armed portion of the population.
