auto lock box for pistol IN A HOLSTER?
I need help.
I'm looking for a lock box that can hold a Glock 17 or 1911 Commander size pistol, in a clip-on IWB holster, and be cabled to a car seat bracket. I don't like handling loaded pistols without them being in a holster, and the only thing worse than that is having to constantly unload and reload. Interior width of about 1.8", at least.
I found a bunch of basic key-locking and combination lock boxes in the $25-50 range, but apparently anyone with access to YouTube can open one in 2 or 3 minutes, if not 20 seconds.
I know that the tubular lock picks are not cheap, but they are pretty easy to use, so no tubular locks. I think that rules out everything in the Hornady Security line.
The alternative seems to be a LifePod 2.0 or Vaultek VS20, which I can't find anything terrible about, except they have Bluetooth and biometric locks and stuff that I don't really need, and run $160-200.
Is there anything in between the $40 junk and the $160 LifePod that I might be missing?Removed NRA Life Member pic. LaPierre and Chris Cox are ruining NRA.

Thinking OUT OF THE BOX and DIY (pun intended).
Large size to be hidden by jacket, towel or blanket thrown over it.
Get a steel box like used for keeping documents at home.
Remove the cheap key lock.
Drill a hole in the backside opposite the lid lock opening.
Place a large diameter bolt thru the box (from backside thru lid)
- that has a hole drilled thru the end of the bolt for a normal pad lock
Cable can be attached at either end of the bolt with a proper lug
Never let anything visually exposed in your car that others might want.

Re: auto lock box for pistol IN A HOLSTER?
I use the Vaultek VS20i version as my bedside safe. It just fits my Staccato CS in my AIWB holster + I can fit one extra magazine there too. Not much room for anything else though.
I'd avoid Hornady which is what I had prior to the Vaultek. Worked pretty good for about 6 months but then the electronic latch started hanging up to where I had to mess with it for 5 minutes to get my gun out in the morning. Not an ideal situation if someone were to break in and you need to get your gun quickly.
I've been using the Vaultek for over a year now with zero issues, holds a charge for at least 6 months and has tamper records/logs via the iOS app. Here is a reference pic of mine, excuse the dog hair I guess I need to clean it out:
