Re: S&W M&P 9compact
I'm still leaning towards a compact pistol for carry. I don't like how I have to dress to carry a full size pistol. So, a compact has my interest. Right now I am looking at the XD compact. How is the recoil on the compact M&P. I hear people say that they can't grip them quite right with the shorter grip. What are you thoughts on this. I have only shot Michelles compact XD and liked it. But I'm alway open to other ideas. I just wish I could shoot them all before I buy one.
EDIT: Oh, I just bought the betterhalf a full size M&P and like the feel of it. Haven't shot it yet(do you believe that). Been a bit to busy with work and Christmas. Maybe tomorrow.Last edited by Mtbkski; December 18th, 2007 at 07:30 PM.

Re: S&W M&P 9compact
I changed the backstrap to the fattest one right away, the grip is a bit short, but you the 12 round mag has a little extension...you give up a bit of comfort on the grip for concealablity, I've shot both compacts and the M&P wins hands down for me. This is my first 9mm and I was amazed at the ability to rapidly put lead on target because of the decreased recoil. Factory rebate of $50 plus 2 magazines right now on this firearm.

Re: S&W M&P 9compact
I've looked at a Glock, not sure which one. It was pretty small, so I guess it is the one you mentioned. How does it compare to the M&P as far as shootablity and concealable.
I currently carry an P-11 because I love the small size. But I would like to step up to a more reliable pistol without the long double action trigger pull of the P-11. But I want a compact package. So the Glocks, M&P, and the XD are the three I am looking at.The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

SORRY for the High-jack AX!!!
Mtbkski-
Come to the Jan. 13th group shoot.
I'll be there and be happy to let you run a few mags through.
I believe axmdr40 will be there as well - maybe you could try his new M&P?
