Washington County Machine Guns in the news
We haven't made the news at all for the past 3 years and yesterday we were on the front page of the local paper and interviewed by the local CBS TV News station for the 6:00 news and featured in the premier episode of a Danish TV show last night. Helluva a day.

The news stories were about what I expected with a few mistakes and couple of nicely done misquotes thrown in to make us sound like we didn't care about our neighbors, but the goal was to get our name out about the new range so I call that a win. We are hoping these stories will help sell the memberships for our expanded range (memberships go on sale Dec 1st with a limit of 150 members for 2016) that should be completed by March 2016, here are the 4 new areas ranges being built besides the current 50-yard machine gun range:
- 200-yard AR Tactical Range with 5+ computer controlled popup targets
- 100-yard archery range with area for tree stands for realistic training
- 25-yard flat pistol range with 22 feet covered shooting area
- Still in design phase and may not happen, but planning a 700+ yard rifle range with metal gongs (6", 8", 10", 12", 18").

Re: Washington County Machine Guns in the news
The title of the CBS story and article is typical modern day liberal journalism, "residents on edge!", yet they fail to cite even a single person or quote them, even anonymously.
I think people will be happy to have a range that is oriented towards modern day firearms and shooting sports in that region as some of the sportsmans clubs are fairly restrictive in what you can do.

Re: Washington County Machine Guns in the news
Would the 700 yard range just have targets far out, or would there be targets at known distances closer than that?
