Just joined GOA and JPFO

i am a member of both (as well as the NRA...and, of course, the PAFOA).

expect to get a very informative and entertaining packet from the JPFO in the next few weeks.

neither is nearly as big or has as much clout as the NRA. both view the NRA as compromising way too much.

you do not have to be jewish to join the JPFO.

JPFO is pretty small, but they completely understand the meaning, intent, and importance of the 2nd amendment and pull absolutely no punches. some of the letters they send to the BATFE will put a smile on your face for days. they are my favorite national gun rights group by far.

the GOA is somewhere in between the JPFO and the NRA.

I read somewhere that if you sign up for the NRA through your local club they get something out of it. does anyone know if thats true? cuz I was waiting to join as a distinguished life member but i was gonna wait until my membership for this new club goes through so they could get something out of it.

If your local club has a NRA recruiter, yeah they get a little out of it. Not sure what'd it'd be on a life membership, I think a regular annual membership they get like $5.

They do the pro-gun voters guides every year, they based in western PA.

FOAC has featured speaker at April 7, 08 PA Second Amendment Rights Second to None rally in Harrisburg.

They are one of the main groups that fight for your rights in PA and are feared by the anti-gunners in harrisburg because they work to un-elected them and keep records of everyones votes.

Which is to say: This is a state where plenty of registered Democrats carry NRA cards. Maybe that's why we're also home to the fervent Firearms Owners Against Crime, which makes the NRA look like a pack of liberal bed-wetters.
