    Default I'm home and alive

I had my surgery today and I'm home now, sore around the belly button area but other then that I'm doing pretty good.I was put under and had my Gallbladder removed laparoscopicly.Arrived at Jefferson hospital at 6:15am and was taking to the OR at 10am, I woke up around 1pm and went home at 3pm.I actually ate some pasta with a meatball and a piece of sausage at 6pm.

I'm not allowed to lift over 10 pounds for 4 weeks the surgeon said and I will go back to work next week on light duty. The doctor said the surgery went perfect and I should start felling a lot better in a couple days.I'm glad everything went well and I'm not roaming the mall for brains right now.

P.S. the hospital staff at Jefferson where very friendly and did a great job making me fell comfortable during my stay.

My wife had her's removed three weeks ago. She was sore for a week or so but feels MUCH better now that it's out.
Her surgery was laparoscopic also but the surgeon needed to make the one hole a couple inches larger because her Gaul bladder was so enlarged.

You'll feel better soon! Enjoy the relaxation.

Mind the weight limit!!! You'll start feeling better, and stronger, fairly quickly. I've heard some horror stories about folks who thought they could ignore the weight limit, and caused themselves lots of problems.
