Looking to get a .45 Acp
Im looking into getting a .45 acp in march. Has anyone saw good prices on a new/used 1911 series, at a shop in this area? Like Rock armory, or springfeild GI, Taurus pt1911.
Hoping to get some feed back. To narrow down exaclty what I will be looking for an where.
Thanks

That should be "Rock Island Armory." Rock River is a whole nother company.
And if it's a GI or Tactical model selling for $500, it's about a $100 too much.
My step-father and my wife have a RIA 1911A1 GI model. My best friend has a Tactical model. I can get the GI model new for $380, and the tactical for just over $400. All three guns have been very reliable, they are VERY accurate, and a great deal for the money. They are basic, but they work every time. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a budget 1911.
More expensive guns will be smoother, will probably look better, but I can't see how they'll work better."Never give up, never surrender!" Commander Peter Quincy Taggart
