    Default CC in Nottingham Park

I would like to concealed carry when I visit Nottingham Park in Chester County, PA but I understand that state and county parks are off limits for concealed carry according to state regulations even though local community parks are not. Is this true? Why does it make a difference whether the park is state, county or local as to being able to concealed carry or not. Maybe when the regulations against cc for national parks are removed, which is in the works, the restrictions in state and county parks will also be eliminated. I hope so.

County parks are fine. State Parks will hopefully soon be open to carry, as well. Privately owned parks, it's up to the owner. IE make sure what you think is a county/local gov't owned park really is, and not some private land conservancy or other group.

    State parks? Currently a no-no.

County parks? No lawful restrictions on either concealed or open carry, nor can they ask you to leave.

    Municipal parks? See above.

Private parks? A park representative may ask you to leave, but that's all.

I thought it wasn't illegal to carry in state parks? Only state park regulation forbids it. I would ignore the regulation, and conceal.

I would check with Robin Hood in that... Oh wait, that's Sherwood Forest, nevermind.
