What caliber are they?

I recently acquired a large lot of mixed ammo. Among the rounds were these two that I am having brain gas with determining what caliber they are. I think the head stamp pics are clear enough. If not let me know and I will take them again. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

the first looks like a 8mm made in 1950. the other is a lake city 1963 which makes it a .30-06.

You can always measure the critical dimensions of the brass, and then look up cartridges on the net to find out what you have.

Well 8mm and 30-06 they are. Staring me in the face too. There's probably 2-3 thousand of each from different manufacturers. My Garand and Mauser will never go hungry again. Thanks for the response. Whenever I have a question it always gets answered here.
