81 Construction
Why cant PA have shifts that switch on and off so that the work gets done in half the time. Its safer to work at night because there's less cars on the road. Of course the state police would be there with them at night, incase of drunk drivers. On the holidays 81 is nuts, backed up for miles! its embarrassing! its going to give PA a bad name to travelers. I hope to god its all done before thanksgiving and xmas, or else getting to work is gonna be a nightmare.

Embarrassing is hitting soo many bumps in the road that you have to see your dentist do to you teeth chattering...
Road work sucks but better roads is what its all about. Night shifting a Construction site cost 20%-30% more do to a few factors and thats just not a good thing these days..
Get up 20 mins sooner then you normaly do thats what I do I live with it as we all do not like we have a better choice in the matter..

Re: 81 Construction
not sure what to say here...just recently I observed them working on 279 and 79 around here overnight and finishing up by 6 am, as well as a few smaller projects...but by and large everything is done during the day and creates snarls (actually up until a year ago I also would rant about why don't they just do the work at night)
