Flint and powder?
Being new to PA hunting, I didn’t own a black powder. Now I’m trying to find ffff powder. I also need flint but can’t find any. Does anyone know a shop where I may find some nearby? Thanks.

Re: Flint and powder?
I last bought some Goex 4f from Big Buck Sport Shop in Wexford. It's a tough time to buy this stuff though...

Re: Flint and powder?
I would check with Curts Black Powder shop over near Butler. As others have said, it's extremely difficult to find right now due to Goex ceasing production. I found some 3f on Midway a few weeks ago, but you pay through the nose for the shipping when buying online. I'm still using the same can from 1996, so once you find some it will last you a longggg time.

Re: Flint and powder?
Thanks everyone. I will try to find ffff. Do you think PA will reconsider flintlock season now that there*s no one making ffff? I was surprised to see gorex ceasing production.

Re: Flint and powder?
Just curious about grinding fff to ffff. I read about someone using 2 wood spoons. Some else said marble pestle and marble table. It sounds very dangerous.

Re: Flint and powder?
As an update, Big Buck in Wexford did still have black powder when I went, both 2F and 4F. It was the Schuetzen brand powder when I picked it up.
