The Mayor of Shreveport LA informs his police officers that you have NO rights if they pull you over. He said it is the LAW that IF you get pulled over YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS, NONE, NOT ONE. ALL rights are gone once your pulled over.
Yep, the first question a police officer asked was do you have a weapon in your car. NO question about drivers license or anything else. Then the police officer took the pistol.
I kid you not.

The mayor was correct in what he said. He wasn't saying all rights are given up in a stop. The caller was pissed because the officer asked about weapons first and apparently took his weapon for "safety" reasons. The mayors assertion that one is not free to continue on their way or deny a command to turn over one liscense or registration is correct. He (the mayor)did sound like an asshat though...

I heard about this guy on Lewrockwell. I cannot believe that internal affairs isn't investigating this guy. He outright admits to power abuse with no warrant or RAS.

The mayor said "Your rights are suspended at a traffic stop." That is not true and not legal by any stretch of the imagination.
