According to the Blue Book of Gun Values, 29th edition the No.14 1/2 Little Scout is worth anywhere from $160 to $425 depending on condition. $425 for 100%, $160 for 60%.
Could not frind anything under US Revolver Co. More info may be needed.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: Help with research
Thanks so much for the help Xringshooter. Their condition is just plain flat old but the stock and foregrip are in pretty good condition, metal parts no rust. Need a good cleaning.
There is another I didn't mention because this one has no markings, serial # what-so-ever on it. .22 L with octagon barrel. Fancy trigger guard. Going to attempt to upload pictures.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Help with research
No top break. A center pin releases the cylinder and the whole cylinder slides out. See pic. And Thanks for your help.

Re: Help with research
More pics might help. Close ups in and around the action area. If you have access, look at everything (you might need a magnifying glass) to see if there are any markings at all. Also, as much of a description as possible (octagonal barrel, round barrel, how the action works, etc.) as much as you can get. Same with the revolver, you may have to remove the grips also. Remember,,very old guns were not required to have serial numbers. Pull the cylinder and see if it has any numbers on it and if they match any numbers anywhere else on the gun. These older guns sometimes can be tough to ID unless someone remembers something (sometimes even the most obscure thought can lead to identifying it).

Re: Help with research
We have taken a like rifle to several gun shows and have been told. They were manufactured in Belgium and were sold under several names. Since they were manufactured for the old black powder loads they are not safe to fire with modern loads. The value seems to be $25-50, if they sell at all.

Re: Help with research
Here's a little more info on the revolver:
It was probably made by Iver Johnson. I don't have access to my Numrich or Jack First books to see if I can find a match. When I get home tonight I'll take a look. You might be able to find something on line that may show pics of some of the old Iver Johnson revolvers and you can compare it to them. These were very inexpensive revolvers and on todays market they won't bring hardly anything ($25-$50 maybe). Me personally, wouldn't shoot it. I wouldn't want you or your buddy to risk hurting yourselves. I'd just clean it up and have it as a show piece.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member
