Default Taurus PT140 Millenium locking up

    Fellas,

I am having an issue with my Taurus PT140 Millenium locking up every 2-3 shots. I am fairly new to pistols so I don't know what to check. Typically what happens is the top slide gets locked. I can usually just hit the little button on the left side and the slide goes forward and its ready to shoot again.

I shot about 50 shots last night and twice it happened where it got locked and I had to remove the clip on the side and pull the gun apart. I then put it back together and it worked for another few shots.

I clean the gun after every use so im not sure what the issue is. Is there a special kind of lube or something that I need?

Thanks in advance for any help.

i was having the same problem with my millenium ..

    1) how many rounds has the gun been fired ? id say shoot till you reach about 200-300 rounds ,then see if the problem continues,,barrel might need to be broken in ,,,
    2) what kind of ammo are you using ? try 3-5 different brands ,,most barrells like a certain name/bullet weight brand,,,try different loads,,

side note : another thing i did was take a dremel and polish the barrel feeding ramp..make it as smooth and shiny as possible ,,,,helped

    welcome aboard,,
