Center Point scopes?
Anyone have any experience or opinions on these scopes?
I see them at Walmart from time to time but they sell out as fast as they come .
Looks like a good value for putting on an inexpensive range gun, whats your opinion?

Re: Center Point scopes?
I have one that I just got the correct bases put on for it to be bore sighted and zeroed,I still have to put it to the test at the range when I get time to.
I can't make any comments on it for now but I will let you know when I get to the range on how it performs.

Re: Center Point scopes?
Thanks for that Report Jp, Would you say that the glasswere reasonably clear on the Center {point?
I plan to put it on a Marlin .22 Mag.
Very strange to have the lens shatter on a Scope, usuall y the retcle falls off or the Mechanism breaks.
Thanks, Nyman

Re: Center Point scopes?
glass was ok. i have a bushnell mounted on my 10/22 that i got at walmart for $75 and that has better quality glass than on the centerpoint.
the centerpoint felt like it had a layer of tint on the lens when compared to the bushnell.
it is weird to have the lens shatter but that's exactly what happened. they told me it would hold up to a 300 magnum round but i guess a 178 grain 308 was too much for it.

Re: Center Point scopes?
I Blew all my gun funds on an new pistol and ammo this spring but still needed a scope for my 17hrm. When I went to WW to pick up my hunting license I saw a 4x16 Centerpoint for 70 bucks and figured what the hell? It has every option you could want in a scope for a flat shooting rimfire and then some. I figured even if it was unusable it was purchased at WW and I could bring it back for a full refund. After putting a hundred rounds down range and dropping a few g-hogs I have to say it was well worth the cash. I will say the glass isn't that great and the eye relief can be a bit tricky up around 14-16 power but it does work. It holds zero and returns to zero every time I make field adjustments. Bushnell makes better glass in this price point but you don't get all of the other options you get with the Centerpoint. I give the Centerpoint a 10 for value, 5 for Optics and a 7 for Controls.

Re: Center Point scopes?
Nother thread about the CP Tactical (?) scope.
Not a leupold, but for range work and plinking I think its hard to go wrong for the money.
