Ruger MKIII 22/45, 5.5 inch bull barrel. I still have it and it still gets the most range time.

Re: What was your very first handgun?
Mine was a blued Springfield Champion that I bought from a friend back in 1995. It was shot to hell when I bought it and it was even more shot to hell when I sold it. I sold it to a guy that knew something about 1911's and he wanted it as a project gun.

Ruger Single Six .22/.22 Mag convertible. This one had a 9" barrel.
I wish I had kept it, but my wife wanted me to get something suitable for home defense, so I traded it for a Ruger SP101.
That Single Six was sweet to shoot.
