k98 BYF 43
I have a k98 mauser it is stamped byf 43. I know all about the mftr dates and places etc, but mine has a B stamped on the reciever between the byf and the 43. does anyone know what this is about. Also I am in search of a complete stock for the same
The stamp l ooks like this

i have a really nice bfy 44 Mauser. of the 1,434,219 or so built that year at the plant, mine was number 23,000 something.

ive been shooting mine with some 1940 headstamp ammo made by FN, steel cored stuff, got a 3 shot group of about an inch and a quarter at 100 yards the other day.Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Yes I know what plant it was made inand what yr. this however has a capital B stamped under the byf and over the 43 looks like this
