Took my girlfriend shooting for the first time...

My girlfriend's room mates invited us camping on their property in Lewistown PA. They are shooting enthusiasts so I was encouraged to bring guns.

Aside from some difficulties getting there, late start, hot wiring the car (with permission), replacing a front headlight, and having the hood smash the windshield on the turnpike going 65 mph...we got there in one piece.

The first target is after 15 rounds from the Beretta 92FS. The second target is the same target after another 15 rounds. She was shooting lefty the second 15.

After that, we were shooting rifles at cans.

The one is a friend's Ruger Mini 14, my Mosin Nagant 1891/30, Winchester Model 70 30-06...and she also shot my S&W 686 and Walther PPK/S Aristocrat.

I knew that was going to come up...I yelled at her about it. I should have been on top of it a little more while we were shooting.

Sounds like fun. Good job for taking her out shooting. Does she want to do it again? Like ksig1869 said, she looked like she was having fun.

She had a lot of fun. She wanted to go home with a bruised shoulder, but she didn't shoot enough rifles for that to happen.
We only shot the one day for a few hours (alternating between 4 and 5 people)...She wanted to shoot again the next morning, but we had to pack up camp.

Pumpkin pictures...

She took a few shots at it with one of the rifles...I think the Mosin possibly? But she was unable to hit it after two shots. I asked her if she wanted to shoot it with a pistol. She said yes.

I gave her my S&W 686 with Federal 38+P HP ammo. I think she only hit with 5 of the 6 shots and most of the time getting it on an angle. Pieces of pumpkin went flying in every direction. I think the weight of the gun didn't help her (6" stainless barrel)...plus it was her first time handling a revolver.

The little holes in the pumpkin in the last picture are from .410 shotshells. Don't recall the pellet size.
