Default Pa. Patriot Annual OC Dinner

    Hello!

I thought it was time to start a new thread about this subject, rather than continuing to hijack the other thread.

Given the input of others I believe we should have an agenda and a high level of organization.

First, this dinner should honor Pa. Patriot's knowledge and support of ALL of our rights.

Second, the dinner should try to educate the public a bit. Not by acting like storm-troopers marching through town, but perhaps by passing out flyers and drawing some media attention to our efforts.

Third, this event should probably take place at the OCB closest to the center of the state. Location is everything, and if we have the dinner in the center of the state we offer attendance to a LOT more people.

As an entrepreneur and businessman I am adept at coming up with new ideas. On the other hand I am terrible at details. I will do whatever I can to organize this event but hope others who are more competent will take an active role.

This event may be something to go on for many years and attract a LOT of GOOD media!

Please let me know your thoughts.

    Al

Good Idea But as far as Pa. Patriot
Maybe Patriots Annual Dinner would be better since the whole Patriot family had to go through that ordeal
And I honestly think we should hold it every May 9th

My wife and I are in.
    Why not the state capitol?
Maybe we could get FOAC and ACSL involved as well?
    Thank You

    I am taking notes...

Personally for now I think it should remain Pa. Patriot's Annual Dinner.

I do like the idea of May 9th. It makes sense!

Another Idea would be instead of OCB maybe a pot luck picnic
on city island or something like that.
That way we can talk and mingle.

    Uhhhhhhhh.......

Yeah....it guess it's OK that were tossin' around ideas in the other thread.....but I dunno about starting an 'official' Pa Patriot dinner thread until 'The Man' himself weighs in on the other thread regarding the idea.

He may not WANT it named as such. He may not feel that it's so much about HIM as it is OUR RIGHTS.

Granted, I'm tossing around ideas over there myself - But I'd hold off on this 'making it official' stuff until He weighs in.

A picnic might be a wonderful idea. As you said, we could mingle and such. A bit less formal.

I suspect all of this might come up for a vote. Perhaps DanP can help in that department when the time comes.

I see a lot of potential here for us to meet & become friends, and at the same time offer a lot of GOOD publicity!

Hopefully others will join in and we can put this together within the next few months.

    I second that.

And having a potluch really does make it easier. Don't have to worry about an eatery hosting a large group, and we can mingle a bit more. Only downside is it's harder to show the OC if it's less populated.

If it's 1/2 the fun of the PGH group shoot it should be a great time!

I agree Gary. I too am just tossing around ideas, but wanted to move them off the other thread. Rich may want to have the event but under a different name, as you suggested.

I only chose the name to honor "The man".

Whatever it's called I just think it would be a good idea to get as many members together as we can for more than just rallies.
And a annual dinner or picnic or whatever would be a good thing.
Let people talk make new friends.
And if it's near a range
hey who are we to say no to a few mags through the chamber right.
