    Default PICS down yet again?

Tried to have an online purchase transferred today, was told that they'd tried to run a few checks today but PICS wasn't calling back, anyone else having a problem today, or is it just my FFL? This is happening way too often lately, I was hoping to try my new gun out tomorrow morning since I'm off work...

I called PICS for a transfer at 11:40 am. Maybe they took a long lunch

I tried to pick-up a layaway at 4:30PM and PICS was down. Waited until 5:15, ans it was still no-go. Total BS. Now I have to make a special trip, AGAIN to attempt the purchase. We should be allowed to charge the Harrisburg bureaucracy for mileage!. Asshat system.

That's the same time I tried to pick my gun up, my FFL is only a 10 minute drive away, but like I said was hoping to take it to the range this morning.

Rep Gabler introduced this bill. HB756

It will allow LTCF holders to complete the transaction if PICS is down.
The 2A does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not INFRINGE our right.

Good bill. I remember the old days with the three day wait to pick -up a handgun. If you had a LTCF you could take your gun at time of purchase.

We give LE a good deal of information, and a set of fingerprints to get our LTCF's, so we should be able to process a transaction when PICS is down.

I was at a local FFL yesterday (Thursday) to buy some ammo and gun oil. Another gentlemen was in there trying to buy a revolver. They had made the call to PICS with no luck. They told the guy that PICS was down again. Needlesstosay, the guy walked out without his new baby and didn't seem very happy about that. I'm just hoping the guy doesn't blame the shop for that.
I would rather die in a shootout than get assassinated in a "gun free zone"

Not what i wish to hear, since i am planning on picking up my AR lower today.

however does this mean a insta check at a later time once it goes back up, or is the LTCF going to be considered a good enough check?

I would hate to see how they would handle it should they check at a later time and for some reason decide to have you challenge them due to miss information or what ever reason they use after you are in possession of the item.
