Default Interesting Conversation @ the Bar

Friday night me and the wife went to the local sh!th@le in the wall. My buddies GF started talking about Christmas, and the gifts that were given and recieved. She asked me what I got my wife, and I said nothing. I told her me and my wife have an understanding that we don't need gifts, and would rather spend the money on our son. However, we do buy ourselves a little something. This year, like many others, my wife bought jewelery, and I bought myself a Ruger SP101. When I showed her a picture of it, her first reaction was " Do you have a license for that?" I laughed and said, " No, thankfully I don't live in Jersey like you!"

PA is a great state to live in for weapons-rights, but it amazes me that most residents of PA are unaware of their rights regarding weapon ownership.

Many people who own guns neither carry nor really use them much. They bought it for HD and maybe a little range time once a year. I'm surprised how often I hear people not even realize they can obtain a LTCF. The gun sits in a drawer or up in the closet. Of course, that's their business.

    Yeah, I have one too!

    Oh yeah? What is it?

A .38...I think. I bought it like 20 years ago. Still have the ammo that came with it.

    Um, OK, what make?

    I'm not sure.

When was the last time you shot it?

    I dunno, 3 years I guess.

    Wanna sell it?

OH NO! I might need it if someone breaks in!

    Where do you keep it?

In the closet, behind the shoes so the kids don't find it.

    Is it loaded?

No, that's too dangerous, I have kids.

Where do you keep the ammo?

Top shelf of the closet, behind a box of hats so the kids don't find it.

Give me a call, let's get over to the range.
    When the SHTF......be the fan.
