It will be ten times harder for them to get them back than it was for their government to take them in the first place.

You know in all honesty , I dont think they will get them back , at least not in my or my children's lifetime. Why the hell they don't get it here is beyond me , I mean we even have a few perfect examples and people STILL don't get it. It's so frustrating it makes me just want to go slap the shi* out of someone

I applaud them for attempting to get their property back, but I dont think it is going to happen. Once the govt (Any govt) takes possesion of your property, you will NEVER see it again.

If they would have found their voices before this happened, they wouldnt be in this position to begin with.

    Sorry, just stating the obvious

I'm all for our sister country being armed.

I think these next 2 years are very crucial for global stability.

If shit goes bad the citizens of britain should and MUST be able to defend themselves and their family or be annihilated.

    Good luck across the pond.

    I agree with you 100%.

But, are we really any different? How many gun owners that you know, wrote their representatives, phoned them, or went to see them about some of the bills that they tried to push thru in PA this year. Did you? Sure we had thousands of responses. But we should have had hunderds of thousands, if not a millions.

Most gun owners sit back and say, "That doesn't effect me." Heck how many hunters you know that will say they have not problems with the "ASSAULT WEAPON BAN". It doen'st effect them. Or how about pistols. "I don't use a pistol. I don't care if there is a 3 day waiting period."

We got a lot of Bar Room/Gun Club complainers and talkers for gun owners in PA. alone. They will b*tch up a storm that it isn't right. But that is all they will do until it is to late. I'll bet we only had 10% if that many, of the PAFOA members on this site make phone calls or write letters when Rendell was trying to push thru some of his anti-gun stuff this past year.

The NRA may not be loved by a lot of folk. But at least they are doing something. More than most of us are willing to do. Join them. Send them some bucks to help them fight. If you don't like them. Find another organization that you do, and join them.
The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....
The day they want my guns, they'll have to bring theirs!!!

I saw a few documentaries about Britain and Australia, and the all guns that were turned in were promptly chop-sawed, thrown in buckets and melted down. There is no getting them back. But they didn't just surrender property, they surrendered their rights along with it.
