very few defensive handguns have elevation adjustments due to handgun shooting is generally done at 25yrds or less. If you are gonna shoot long range, you'll have to adjust by holding it over.

although we can shoot up to 100yrds, i was setting up at 15yds and 25yds, and it seems like at both distances, the shots were hitting low when all three dots were lined up, is there and accurate way to bring them up consistantly?

I would first get it sighted in really tight at 7 yds. and then work your way up. Also try several different kinds of ammunition. It really matters to some guns.

If you're still low, then its time to get out the file and slooowly remove metal from the top of the front sight, all the while shooting it in. Do all the other stuff first. Once you take metal off you can't put it back on.

If you have a three dot, find a way to move the front dot down even if you have to paint on a new one and paint out the old one.

When aiming for precision, reference the top edge of the front and rear sights, not the dots. The sights are machined to exacting tolerances, while the placement of the dots typically is not.

    Mikey,

What ammo are you using? what grain? Remember heavy ammo shoots high and light ammo shoots low , try a heavier round and see what happens.

My Bersa .380 is dead on accurate with Winchester silvertips.

Heavy bullets shoot low, light bullets shoot high.

The top edge of the sights are typically within .4" or so of the centerline of the bore. If you have it sighted in with it hitting dead-nuts on at 25 yards....it'll never be more than .5" high or low out to something like 75 yards...or there abouts.

.5" is close enough for any thing except x-ring competition. Group size is much more important than whether or not it's .25" high or low, IMO.

Just learn the hold overs, you'll get it.
